Built on steeply sloped terrain, Casa São Francisco Xavier opens up to the breath-taking view of the Mantiqueira Range in São Francisco Xavier, a district of São José dos Campos.
The ground floor is composed of three volumes: the two lateral blocks house the bedrooms and bathrooms, both topped with green roofs. The central pavilion features a large gabled roof covered with wooden shingles, under which lies the social living area, including a fireplace lounge and a veranda. A slight deflection of the southern block emphasizes the opening of the social area toward the surrounding landscape of mountains and native forest.
A large wooden deck connects the volumes externally, creating a spacious area for gathering and enjoying nature.
