Marking a milestone in promoting the internationalization of Brazilian architectural firms, AsBEA-SP, through its Built by Brazil Program and in partnership with ApexBrasil, will carry out, between March 10 and 18, the largest international initiative in its history: “Mission Europe 2025”. With the objective of promoting actions in the three focus areas of Built by Brazil—capacity building, image promotion, and commerce—the Mission is divided into two stages: MIPIM and Portugal.
MIPIM Stage
The first stage will take place between March 10 and 14 during MIPIM, the world’s largest real estate sector trade fair, held in Cannes, France. Focused on commercial promotion and image building, the MIPIM stage will provide the seven participating firms with individual business meetings with potential international clients in the main target markets of each firm. In addition to business meetings, as part of the image promotion strategy, firm representatives are included in MIPIM’s official event program, with an exclusive Built by Brazil conference:
“Brazilian Architecture and Urban Planning: Solutions for a Changing World”
Beyond commercial and image promotion activities, the firm representatives will have the chance to participate in an extensive schedule at MIPIM, including the opening cocktail of Brazil’s booth at the hospitality pavilion, a lecture by Tourism Minister Celso Sabino (organized by the Ministry of Tourism), the Housing Matters Summit (with Marcelo Cardinale Branco, São Paulo’s Secretary of Urban Development and Housing, and Tom Copley, Deputy Mayor of London), as well as the MIPIM Awards ceremony.

Portugal Stage
From March 15 to 18, the mission continues to Lisbon for the Portugal Stage. The goals of this stage are to deepen understanding of the Portuguese market and foster connections with potential local partners. The main event of this stage, in collaboration with Portuguese architects, is:
“Brazil-Portugal Architectural Connections: Roundtable on Hospitality and Rehabilitation Projects”.
The event is supported by the Brazilian Embassy in Lisbon, the Municipality of Cascais and Diário Imobiliário. The opening session is going to be held jointly by the Embassador of Brasil to Portugal, Mr. Raimundo Carreiro and the President of the Cascais Municipal Chamber, Carlos Carreiras. After the round-table sessions the President of the Portuguese Order of Architects is going to make the final speech before the networking cocktail reception for the attendees.
Complementing the main event, this stage also includes an architectural tour with technical visits to developments and urban projects, as well as meetings with local entities like the Portuguese Order of Architects and the Embassy of Brazil in Portugal.
This event will be the largest international initiative by AsBEA in terms of duration and planned activities. It will also have the highest number of participants: 11 firms from 5 states.
