The Girassol building, by 3Z Realty and Exemplar Construções, breaks away from the idea of a generic glass tower. On a sloped lot in a bohemian neighborhood, with a height limit, it becomes an “anti-corporate” building—open, airy, and integrated with greenery. The upper entrance leads to the lobby; the lower one to the garage, while an urban garden bridges the level difference. Offset volumes create varied terraces with open areas and lush gardens, softening verticality and bringing the building closer to human scale. Built in exposed concrete, serving as both structure and finish, it contrasts with the abundant vegetation. On the 3rd floor, a light polycarbonate block cantilevers 7 m, supported by a steel structure, adding boldness and informality to the design.
