Fasano Las Piedras is a development in Punta del Este, Uruguay, that combines private houses, hotel bungalows, and amenities — a spa, equestrian center, polo fields, and 3km of beach along the banks of the Arroyo Maldonado — within 480 hectares of arid, rocky landscape with sparse, low vegetation.
The program led to a scattered layout of the units, conceived as isolated modules “resting” on the terrain, like the stones themselves — a solution that avoids large volumes that would interfere with the landscape. The pre-existing structures, formerly the owner’s private quarters, house the hotel reception and the Las Piedras and Fasano restaurants. The remaining structures — bungalows, spa, pool, bar, and lounge — follow the same concept, distributed across the property like the local stones.
